Cummins Industrial tools showed up in Winnsboro Tx this morning and of course I had to go just in case they had something I couldn't live without. Wouldn't you know they had a 4x6 swival head band saw . It was missing 12 nuts to put the stand together and the drive belt, So I said to the proprieter, what you gonna sell that saw for seeing its missing some parts? He said I'll take $130 for it and I said sold. Got it home put it together , had to rob my HF4x6 for the belt, and it work like it's supposed to. I show pics but I do not have a digital camers.

Jim, it probably looks just like my Homier swivel head; wanna borrow a picture or two?

If it is the same, the little carriage bolts they supplied for the sheet metal stand weren't any good anyway; the square shanks were too long to allow the nuts to squeeze the sheets together so I tossed them & used something else. My saw has performed admirably for the money, though. Same saw is available locally for $325 with nicer paint and the ShopFox name on it.

Everytime there is one of the Cummins Industrial sales here in the Syracuse area, almost all of the products bigger than a bread box appear to be incomplete, maybe we're the last show on the road, before they restock (?). I bought 2 of their 20 gallon parts washers for $50.00, both boxes were open and between the 2, I still didn't have enough parts for 1 complete unit. Filled the tank up, turned the pump on, it locked up and blew a fuse, freed up the pump and it been working for the last 3 years without a glitch.

there were no manuals for it other than the assembly directions.

I talked to a couple of the guys working there and they told me they get replentished every 2 or 3 days. Next time ask them when their replentish truck is comming and where they will be then. This particular team is only gonna a be about 20 mi. down the road and after those 2days they are only moving another 20mi.

hmmmm
I honestly don't know where it is or if it had a decent parts breakdown. I already looked where I hoped it was and it wuzn't. I'll keep an eye out.
