I know jet boats are a big thing on the Snake River.
Are you trying to get into shallower water?

Thanks, guys.
Rivers around here are shallow(3'-6' avg. with deep holes and some 6" deep runs) and flat, some very small rapids. The boulders are what ruins your day. The bottom of present boat, which has been running these rivers since 1987, looks like a couple guys with sledge hammers went to town on it. There's a pic. of my original foot that I'm putting on another motor. My original pump housing was destroyed by hitting a rock and the force pushed the foot into the housing. The pump housing in pic. is the replacement and it almost had the same fate as the original.
Finished tacking the bottom angles yesterday. Hopefully last time shes upside down.

Figured i should put this thread to bed.
I was going to post finished boat pics. last aug. but work, hunting season and the boat finished enough to fish out of ,put a stop to finishing it.
So here's some pic's. The boat needs the floor done and some electrical items, lights, pumps, and a few other things.
Been using the boat on the river since nov. with around 40 or so trips.
Three things i don't like about the boat.
it's a little slippery when turning on plane. Not dangerous, just alot more than my other boat.
The other is its profile. Looks to much like a barge. I should ha e put some curves in her.
She needs about 30 more hp. or i need to train my 90# dog to sit in the stern.

I don't know anything about boats or rivers or fish but that looks like quite a lot of aluminium.
