Thanks, I get it . I always thought of a "back up ring" as a radial split ring kind of thing that fit the ID/inside the "O" ring to tighten it in the bore.(used when I cut the groove too deep, LOL)

Thanks, Paul
A 160 MPH drive, down a 2 lane blacktop, all by yourself, is NOT anti-social behaviour... I drag race because football, baseball, and golf only need ONE ball. Paul.

What I really need to know is, WHEN DOES THE SHOOTING START?

This will tell you the diameter/radius of the piton needed for a direct read on the gauge or what ever multiple you want. For example a radius of .564 gives you a .9997 square inch piston. That should give you a close direct read on a gauge.
Make over, make do, or do without

Why do I have to press one for English when you're just gonna transfer me to someone I can't understand anyway?

Grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can & the friends to post my bail when I finally snap!

By the way, a brake wheel cylinder cup would make a good high pressure seal.

We are losing sight of civility in government and politics. Debate and dialogue is taking a back seat to the politics of destruction and anger and control. Dogma has replaced thoughtful discussion between people of differing views.

Oh yea and this having to open up the pressure cyl. to see the dia is silly. Just measure the pressure for a KNOWN weight on it and (what is that expression,? "Bob's your Uncle") :-)
