Default Let There Be Light

I already had 4 of the corn cob lights running down the middle of the shop, and that was fine, until the mill moved in. Another $180 and 8 more lights and it should be good even for a blind guy like me. The lights are 300 watt equivalent. Installing is a bitch as I have way too much stuff in the way to easily move a ladder around. Very slow progress. Ceiling is 14' high.

Just tied into the existing wire run for the first four I put in. Total amp draw is less than 5 amps for all 12 lights. Circuit is on a 15 amp breaker. Romex 12/2 w/ground wire. First pics are the existing 4 last pics are with 8. Much brighter already now. Should be fine after all 12 are running.

The multiple rows also really help to eliminate shadows. Increasing the number of lights by three times what you had, seems to have more than a three times effect on visibility!

Let there be light! Now some spray foam insulation on the walls and ceiling, and a little fire will keep you warm as a bug in there.

I suppose you do not realize the hundreds of hours I would have to spend emptying the building in order to insulate.

Well, hell, if you are going to insulate, might as well pour a slab.

Right now all I have planned is to take down the 10' x 14' center sliding door and replace with a fixed wall. It is your fault I am putting in the led corn cob lights!!!!!
