Default drill bit stand

No place to put the drills I got from digger doug so I built a stand for them. I have most of the bits brought back to life but still have some to go including a 2" bit that was ground for a bottoming bit.

1 drilling 1 1/8" holes on 1 7/8 centers in 2 X 5/16" FB

2-3 assembly

4 done

I reckon you used one of the donated drill bits you brought back to life to make the stand? Kind of like using the welder the cart is made for?

Nice job.

I have a bin of taper shank drills and another of reamers that I need to get into individual holders to protect them. Wish it was closer to the top of the priority list.

I like it. Consider it borrowed.

How can you make a one inch or a two inch drill bit fit into a bench mounted drill press with only a 1/2 inch chuck?
Thanks
Rufus

You can buy large drill bits with 1/2" shanks, I have a few of them up to 1 1/2". They are called Silver and Deming style bits. They are real handy for using in my mill because of their short length. You have to have a press that will turn slow enough to run the larger bits if not
