Default Goodies from work...

Picked up some more decommissioned goodies today.

A few stainless steel, 6 gallon, pressure tanks.

A stainless steel, solvent waste handling cart. This was used to extract waste solvent from a process tool and move it to a solvent waste drum. We no longer use solvent in that product line. The waste cart had been modified and was left over. It has three waste tanks, several pneumatic switching & control valves and two stainless steel, pneumatic, double diaphram pumps. I think I see a pneumatic powered parts washer in my future.

That looks like an awesome pile of parts.

I wish I had a job where I could take stuff home. Last one I had, we could have all the leftover pizza at 2am...most had been sitting since the dinner rush at 8.

I think there is a Federal Mandate against painting stainless.
Too purdy without it.

I do get a shot at some great parts on occassion. But not without a price. It can be a tough job at times.

There was a time that I thought that would have been the most awesome job in the world.....
Especially if it was pepperoni....

I know what you mean, they will be comming off soon. I got a property pass and it was decontaminated correctly. Flushed with acetone, then IPA and purged for two weeks. I know for sure, I did it. Air? I can make a little, 7-1/2 horse IR 2-stage. It's a beast!

Best part is those pumps are obviously solvent safe. What were the solvents?

No marathons but I did have a funny experience when I called the oxygen people & told them to come get their stuff: the guy refused. He said he would be breaking the law because A DOCTOR ordered it for me so that doctor had to provide him with a signed order of removal. Well, I was plumb flummoxed for a little while; that stuff was costing me $100 a month to sit in the other bedroom and I did not want to have to go back out to the hospital to get it removed.

I was tempted to tell him that he could either come get his property or I would claim it by right of salvage but I finally got my "regular" doctor to intercede. It is gone.

So far as I can tell, I am in as good a shape as I was before the Paint Fume Fever. The reports of my demise were greatly exaggerated.
