Went to the welding supply yesterday, tips, nozzles, wire, no problem. Liner? Didn’t arrive yesterday am like it should have. She figured it missed a time or truck for transfer and should be here Monday.

This is why I’m gathering this stuff up before I want to actually use it......

I may have a line on some liners for sale privately, I think if I can stock a few I will.

Yesterday I took the liner out of the whip, today’s plan is to hit a welding supply and get a new liner, wire, tips etc. I never had any spare nozzles, so will grab a couple to have on hand.

Mark, try Weldworld in Nisku, just up the road is Praxair and they have some parts but not as much as Weldworld.

Thanks Gerry, I hit Praxair in Lloyd as I was going to be there twice last week for other things, they are also the branch that supplies stuff to the local ‘depot’ here in town. I also ended up finding ine on ebay from Edmonton, seller had three listed in seperate auctions. I chatted a bit with him, told him to ship that one, and include his contact info as I was interested in the others, as well as other welding stuff he has, but could do a local pickup on that stuff.

Ended up with two new liners here, so once I get a chance I can get it all back together and ready to go.

Got a new liner in yesterday, gun is all back together.

I then realized that most of my welding tanks are empty. So there’s six tanks here to go get swapped out.

Somewhat. Waiting anyway since material ‘inventory’ here is very limited for me. The move from Onterrible meant almost all inventory was either dispersed or put into storage there. The bit of stuff I did bring could likely be carried by two people working together.

I have scrounged a few more small items here and there, but there will likely be an order placed in the next few weeks for a batch of new material.

I’m also waiting on a spool adapter, so I can use the 10-12 pound rolls instead of the bigger 40-50 pound rolls. Until I get welding more steel again, I’m going to stick to the smaller ones in case of issues. I kept tossing too much of the large rolls due to the rusting etc I kept getting.

So over the last while I got some tanks swapped out, my spool adapters arrived and I was ready to try it out.

Had a project in mind to give it a little workout (more on the project in another thread.)

So fired it up this morning, and after some tweaking on the wire tension, it’s welding .035” solid pretty smoothly.

Stop in at Gerry's. He likely has some of what you need.
