I'll have to try it again....
The MM-350p I used with the Hobart wire (MADE IN USA) was really really good.
Crisp with good wet-out. In .035 wire that is all I buy. Esabs like it too.

The .030 wire i got from my LWS is WELDMARK made in Sweden. It is an 11# spool for $21.56. It seems like very good wire and runs smooth in my new HH187.

No idea where it came from or how old. Hard starts and spatter was way too hard to control. I just used it up and went back to Pinnacle and HB-28. They are cheaper anyway. I was using smaller spools.....that may have been part of it. With the Pinnacle, I get the exact same wire regardless of the spool at half the price of the Lincoln.

ESAB spoolarc 86 works really good for me. I was talked in to using the L-56 by the lws and it worked good at first then turned to crap so I went back to spoolarc. Seems to work as good with a 251 Trailblazer or a 450 delta weld or an older then dirt Miller Sigma 5cs or Thermal Arc 300 GMS.

hmmmm, "Made in the USA" Are you sure that just was the box? Most of the quality wires actually come out of South Korea including the Lincoln wires and most of the Hobart lineup. Cheaper wire comes out of India & China, with the rest out of Sweden.

Can't remeber where Bonarc is made.

Often shipped in the large 1000 lb reels and rewound onto the smaller reels you use in your machines. The rewound spools are rebadged under various names.

Last time my friend was at Troy, Ohio that was the case, about six months ago.

HB-28 wire could be made about anywhere. I also got the scoop as why it went to S##t for a while. Hobart let some idiot make some changes and he didn't have a clue. They fixed it by going back to the original configuration.
