I do know I really like that Facom socket set! Well I'd like it better if it were standard. But so many things are metric nowadays....

Wow, that was fast.
I admire Niels very much - I think we all do - and I sure don't want to confuse him or hurt his feelings.
Thank you both very much.

Oh - and if he has any trouble compressing his pictures, he can email them to me & I will fix them & send them right back to him.

Cutter, Hans, & Bolt, I want to say I am very moved by the length you guys have gone to to accomadate Neils and his posts. Being able to learn how people in other parts of the world do things is so interesting and the measures you have all gone to just impresses me to no end. Just another example of why this site is so great.

hopefully, in a few months I wil be a mechanical/electrical engeneer.

My thesis is a masters thesis. It's on a new technique to to form sheetmetal without using any dies. The name of this technique is Single Point Incremental Forming, the most important adantage is the flexibility to make different shapes without a lot of toolingcosts. You can use this technique on any CNC-controlled milling machine.
If you google for it you wil find more information on it.
Our department also has some pages devoted to SPIF: www.mech.kuleuven.be/pp/research/spif .

Im still doing metalwork but not the really hands on stuff. I write the toolpath and the machine does all the hard work.

Hans,

Very interesting, with the rotating tool, have you done any circle grid analysis to see if you get better formability versus traditional stamping methods.

Are you doing all the forming dry or are you using a lubricant?

Snitz, that is exactly what we do not want you to do.

But to answer your question, more or less - you have to host them on your own webspace.
Just use the manage attachments button.
