Default Working on mysteries without any clues

Two more tools I picked up at auction and I don't know what they are used for. The little one may be a chain breaker to remove the link pin? The large one is clearly a big wrench. It has an adjustable screw to fit a nut or bolt. I am wondering if it was made for a specific piece of equipment. Steam tractors maybe???? Square head bolts maybe???

Yessir, that little one is a roller chain breaker. Lots of time saved with those. I looks like a bit of rust to deal with..........

It's going in the derusting tank in a couple of days. That ought to get it clean up pretty well. Now if I could find the spinner to set in a new pin, I would be all set.

And I will venture a guess the pliers are an early version of channel locks.

Tim Is right on about the roller chain breaker.

Not about the tools, but are you a Bob Seger fan?

No, not really. Just liked the line in the song. I apply it to a lot of things in my life. Mostly because I seem to operate without any clues on lots of things.

Clues? We don't need no steenkin' clues...

Ever since the last Clue store closed, for lack of customers.

Love Bob Seger.

Who wants to break the news about uncle joe
You remember uncle joe
He was the one afraid to cut the cake
Who wants to tell poor aunt sarah
