Default Truck Mirrors

A couple years back I had the truck in the shop for an oil change and someone came by with a little job....needed now.
So I tried to keep all sparks away from the truck and did his fix. I never noticed til the tidbits in the mirror started to rust, that I had nailed both of them.
I've been trying to find a set at the pick-a-part and only see abused ones.
So I looked at Rockauto, yep, $146 each. Not too bad, but thought I could do better so I looked at Amazon and they were $146 for a pair.
Ebay, bless their pointed little heads, has a set for $127 CDN.

I just installed them today. perfect fit and finish, and the mounting bracket was identical to original, while the Amazon mount is pot metal and smaller.
I am really pleased with these, the right price, cheap shipping, and exactly like the ones I took off, without the dingleberrys in the glass.
Took Margot and I about 1/2 hr to do both sides, they are the cleanest things on the truck today with all the mud and crap I've been in.

Nice to have the luxury of shopping around. Most parts are need it yesterday stuff. Price point goes out the window when you have to get it running ASAP.

Why the hell did you have to post this thread. You know mine are vibrating where it is hard to see when cruising down the road. Now I am out $89 and another job to do.

Hmmm. I have the vibration issue too, I just figured it’s the stiffened suspension.

I do have a cracked mirror on the drivers side, and the crack alwaya seems to be in an area where I’m needing to see.

They are now installed. No more wiggling mirror.
