Last night I was taking a shower just before bed. As I was finishing the water ran out. I dried off and dressed and went out with a flashlight and found the storage tank down to the low water level cut off switch. It was 3/4 full this afternoon, and all 3 neighbors had been admonished to use water sparingly.

So between noon and nine someone had used over a thousand gallons. So I went to turn on the hose only to find that it (all 3 hoses) had been disconnected, and the hose bib was f*%ked up in the process. So back to the shop, oops, no keys, back to the house, get tools, back to fix the hose bib, reconnect the hoses, get the water flowing. Then I bypassed the low level switch and got the pressure pump running so that my wife would have water for a shower in the morning.

I left the water flowing and a slow rate, but running all night long. My wife woke me at 5 saying there was no water. Back outside to find the storage tank back down and the low water level switch shut down the pressure pump, even with the hose running all night.

I am done with sharing with neighbors!

Anyhow, the guys showed back up with the new pump and reset it this morning. $1490 for the pump, pump saver switch, and labor. Done for now.
