Default Gaining The Upper Hand

Got some trouble free hours in with no major disasters

Be a happy guy if I could screw my head on backwards. PITA to be looking over your shoulder for day after day. Few quick seconds of the routine here at the compound

https://youtu.be/8UVWaSu17Pc

Dood wants to call a weeks halt because of the weather. Gotta tropical moisture system moving in for the entire week, and good chance of heavy rain during the period.

WHICH GIVES ME TIME TO DO SOME FINAGLING TO SOLVE THE SMALL TREE PROBLEM Gonna put a largish dent in my steel hoard I guess.

There are County funds available...…...IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE THE RIGHT PERSON. The funding is limited, and generally goes to folks with political pull. When the rest of us apply, we're told the funding is dried up.

I'm not a socializing kinda guy, don't have any church going networks, and certainly no business networks (Hell, all I do is take calves to the sale barn). So...…………...I get to dig deep in my wallet, or find a way to do it myself. K'kins has more connections, but they're oilfield related.

The same goes with crop disaster funds. The bulk of the money goes to about 4 families in this area, who just happen to have family members on the board.

Hoping to come in under about 6K. Which sounds like a lot, but if you consider the hay that I gotta buy to offset the grazing on this piece of ground, it's a pretty quick payback.

Got all the fencing material just sitting here. Auction buys, and free pipe from the oilfield. It's the only happy part of this whole thing. (Until I start running fence ) I found a local rental place that rents gas powered post drivers, so maybe it might not be too bad. It's the T posts I dread I'll rent it for a half day to check out out just how difficult it is to use. Does the same thing as the pneumatic drivers. So they say

I spent more time trying to figure out why PITA, Paranormal Investigation Team of Atlanta, had shit to do with pushing tree's. Pain in the ass, I'm with you now.

Politics is the same no matter where you are.

Although a few pieces of mail to the States Attorney Generals office will have a few heads scratching once the questions start.

While mowing the yards yesterday, as I was making a ring pass on the front 2 acres of front yard, made a pass 5 in and on the next pass noticed a limb 6" in dia about 20' long was now sitting over what would be 4 pass's with the mower. Guess the wind and rain broke it off and it dropped just after I had. Glad I was not there at the time. Old growth Cedar of 80 to 90 years.

Dairy guys

These are euphemistically called "Lagoons"

https://youtu.be/cqIDSEvpqmI You gotta follow the video to the end, it's epic ROFL

Ran across this while looking at some vids pertaining to grapples. I got the drawing pad out, along with the scale ruler Beat those small tree bastards if it kills me. Steel isn't doing anything but collecting rust on the rack, might as well use it before it disappears into molecules

Not to be too ignorant, but why could you not strap that thing to the front end loader bucket? Even just using chain and binders would work as the pusher rake is not being lifted.

Didn't want long sharp pokey things near my radiator, so it wound up on the back of the tractor.

By the time you get finished this way you can star in the Beetlejuice movie. He was the guy who could rotate his head backwards.

Think I'd hang a sheet of 1/4" plate in front of the radiator to keep the trees at bay. You are right, they would be hard on a rad.
