I looked into replacement jaws as one of them has been gouged by a cutting torch. At over $200 a piece I think I'll pass on them. I suppose that is about right for a vise that sells for nearly $4000.

I also discovered that I underestimated the weight by 45 lbs. The listed weight is 220 lbs.

I could probably load the table on my truck upside down then simply slide it off on to a few blocks on the ground when I unloa it at my place. When it's time to move it again I could pull it back on to the truck with the bed mounted winch and ramps.

The question is do I really need it? I'm going this morning to take another look.
Keep the vises inside and use the table outside...

Yes I am enabling...

While at the scrap yard I found another table that is more to my liking. The top measures 37"x 73" and weight 2300 lbs. It is made from fairly strong cast iron I presume. I say this because it did not crack when a rather heavy machine was dropped on to it from a distance of about fifteen feet.

Testing a theory.

Theory didn't work.

But the GOOD news - ya got one HELLuva anti-gravity machine

In spite of the fact that I HAVE one, I tend to ask myself - if the dang phones are so "smart", how come they screw up so much??!? ...Steve

Yep. I looked up that vise a few years ago then they sent me a price list, after the Wilton contest. I think it was listed then at $3800.
I'm pretty sure that is a cast steel vise rather than cast iron.
You have everything you need to make your own jaw inserts, or to repair the ones that came with it.
