Default Canned fuel in small engines.

I have never been a fan, mostly out of the ridiculous cost of it.
But now a small engine mechanic chimes in.

I've never been a small engine fan and an even worse mechanic. But they're necessary.

Lawnmowers are easy enough to fill with non-ethanol mid-octane from my local pump. The 2-strokes are a wholly different beast and I finally decided to start springing for the expensive cans a couple seasons back. So far, so good. I'm not an expert on the subject by any means, but I partially attribute it to the small container, limited time of being 'open' to get crud in them, and they seal back up better than the standard plastic jugs in the lawn department.

I did save all my small metal bottles and refill them from the gallon sized one to help save a few pennies. Not much, but some. They're also easier for me to pour into the tiny fuel cells.

Interesting, I have been running both Trufuel & SEF depending on where I pick it up. I run the 4-cycle product in the DR power wagon and the Predator engine has become an SOB to start I was already going to pick up a new plug. the video sort of clinched it for me. There is a gas station in the valley that sells Ethanol free fuel so I guess I'm going to pick up 5 gal. and some Red Armor 2 cycle oil and see how my units like it. It will also be a ton cheaper Tracey picked up a quart the other day of 4 cycle gas was $12

Yep, sure did. I also scanned the "most rewatched" portions to see if maybe I missed the nip slip or something...

I get it, really I do. The stuff is junk and doesn't allow the engine to run up to full potential. Every machine I've run it in sounds like it's lagging as well and never really gets to full RPM. I absolutely agree with the lady, though I think my mewbs are bigger than hers. Using my own mix has always been hit or miss and unless I make a fresh batch with a clean tank the likelihood is slim that it will run at all. Using the TruFuel has (at least momentarily) changed that.

If I were buying big money machines I'd likely be pretty pissed if my stuff didn't work. I use my weedeater for 3 months out of the year, and maybe only 6 times a growing season at the houses. When I'm feeling frisky I'll drag it to the range a couple times. I have abused 3 of the Ryobi units in 9 years time. I try to 'fix' them when they initially fail by changing the plug, cleaning the tank, and maybe replacing the fuel lines. Anything beyond that and it makes more sense to just spend the $100 and get a new boxed unit.
