Anyone in Seattle area available for machine work?

I’m currently working in the Seattle area and I’m in need of a bit of machine work. I have an aluminum engine part that needs to have 2.5mm removed off a flange. Anyone able to perform this simple task over the weekend or know some one who can?

We need to form the ‘Neal Network’ somwe can track him, and help him out when this stuff comes up.

Doing a search on CarigsList I find two. do a search for "machining"

If you need that to run true to the threads it will take a bit more work, likely will have to thread a bar on a lathe then screw your disk onto that......

If that thread is metric not everyone is setup to cut metric threads.

I went to Canada four weeks ago and it took ten hours in customs. Not somehting I'd like to relive any time soon. Can we line up on each side and I just punt it over?

I will have to check out CL. I haven't used that in some time. This is just a plug that needs to be trimmed to fit a cam bore. No threading, nothing fancy.

Chuck it up in a drill motor with a bolt and nut holding it and some Emory sandpaper will red neck you in service.. I assume you have a micrometer to check it.

From Seattle, it should be a short jaunt to Grizzly in Bellingham. Maybe take your part there and ask for a demo on a lathe?

I couldn't go to that candy store and escape without serious damage to my wallet. If you go, let me know how it turns out.

I have considered that. I have also been looking for lathes for sale in the classifieds thinking maybe I could talk the current owner into a small demo. No luck yet.
