I can see that it would be pretty valuable for twisted or knotty wood that's a bugger to split with a maul, or even a hammer and wedge.

Making a portable shop (7 x 14 trailer)

Needed a bender. This one has wheels on the one end,
a handle at the wedge end (can roll around like a hand truck)
Figure I can roll it up against the side wall and strap it in place using the e-track I installed
on the walls.

Made from scraps, and the bottom die I had collected.

FWIW any one can doo this, if you don't have a commercial
press brake die, just weld up a "Vee" or a just 2 bars separated
2" or so.

I'm seeing a pretty handy press in the making.
Especially if one were to make a plate to convert the splitter V to a flat face:
= hydraulic vise.
= hydraulic press

A series of square tubes of various lengths and it would be very flexible to length.

Nice repurposed tool!

Years ago when my dad was scrapping, we made a couple extra tools for our wood splitter. One was an extension so we could cut copper wire with. Another was a holder to compress the air brake pots from semi trucks in order to take them apart safely.

Here’s some pics so in ten years and the link is dead, we know the value that you bought it at.

So now I need to add a cross hole in the box tubing for some all thread (part stop) and a 1" dial indicator for the ram stop.
