Default MIG Pliers..

Who makes the best MIG pliers?
Best linemans pliers I've seen are the Kleins.
Anyone got a favorite set of MIG pliers? I saw a pair at the welding shop today, but they didn't look that great for $28/pair.
I see some on ebay for like $15, but can't tell if they are decent....

Save your money, all I ever used was a cheap heavy tipped pair of needle nose pliers, and they been workin for 30 years.
$4- pliers get lost and or stolen just as fast as $28- pliers.

Are they made by Snap On, the tool favored by lesbians the world over?

I don't know. I inherited them from an Uncle. They're prolly 40 years old and haven't lost their bite.

I gotta tell you D... Franz is right... a crappy pair gets lost or stolen just as easy as an expensive pair.

And to be honest, as long as they snip.. they will last forever. Fluxcore is so soft, that you can pretty much bend it in half to cut it.. you will not be wearing any cheepos out anytime soon.

sorry I can'y help beyond that... I am a franz supporter on this one.

I bought a pair of mig pliers from Snap on about a month ago, 39.95, which are the exact same as the cheap imports that my welding supplier sells for 8.95, well I got the big rip off, and I am with Franz on this one, use a pair of cheap needle nose pliers.

I guess you guys are right I better get to Harbor freight and get me a pair. We use HF ones at school because people steal them but alot of them dont cut well I guess its just from abuse. Or I could use needle nose pliers but its just easier to clean the nozzle with mig pliers.
