Default Strobe light

Been asked to build a mount for a strobe light on this tractor and I must say it's not my idea. The 3/4" round plate was bolted to the roof holding the old strobe. The new mount bolts to that plate offset to one side. I think I am going to make a adjustable kick stand to stop it from shaking. Plus I don't have the tractor here.

1 the tractor

2-3 new bracket

4 the old mounting plate with the pipe not cut to length yet

Off-set like that is going to prove a problem. How ridged is the roof of the cab? With the vibrations it my "Oil can" the roof.

Yup you are right I am planning on putting a kick stand under it when I get the rest of the dimensions

Are they using it on an airport? Hard to see any other reason for a strobe.

Around here rubber tired machines working or moving on a highway are required to
have strobes or flashing lights. It may or may not be a requirement--depends on the
jobsite--but most mobile off-highway machines have them as well. It's a safety feature...

Amen to that! I haven't painted in years. There are so many places around now that do powder coating or other forms of custom painting that it's just not worth my time...
