Thumbs up "Red Barn" I started the Demo

Got started on the demolition of the "Red Barn" Saturday, it didn't take long to fill up my 16ft trailer. I think my uncle is going to let me borrow his 16 footer, then I will have two loaded for "free" dump day the first Saturday of each month.

Ive added pics below, "cutter" try to hold it together I know this is hard for you.

I expect the local Historical Society is going to be dragging you into court, Tony.
Or maybe the Daughters of the Texas Republic.

There goes the neighborhood of historical structures. Shame it all has to go to the dump though ,is there anyway for benifical reuse ? Around here that barn siding is still selling well for decor items.

I am with midmo on his recycling idea.
I would bet a "Free Barn Siding" ad in the local paper would save you a trip to the dump.

Adding another to the suggestion. I've been amazed with the junk I've been able to get rid of for free. Just post it in craigslist or freecycle.

Heck, I got rid of a house full of old nasty carpet and padding as well as a small storage shed with holes in the roof and some bad water rot.

No! No! not all goes to the dump, The original plan was for the metal siding to go to the scrap yard for sale, but I may be having second thoughts on that. In fact I have been told by two other people to list the siding for sale like "craigslist", that there's people wanting it to decorate resturants with it (old looking new steak house's and such) and even some want it for home decor. So I think I will try that first, what do you guys believe a fair price would be for such a treasure.

Maybe you all will see me on Antiques Road Show in the near future holding my siding.

Well I picked up another 16 footer trailer today to load up some more of the Red Barn this weekend. Out of luck borrowing my uncles trailer because it got stolen last night . I believe that's the second one he's lost. Although a good friend of mine came through with his trailer.

if you keep your trailer loaded with junk,no one will steal it!
i had a friend that always wanted to borrow my truck,so i started loading in down with trash everytime he called,he took it to the dump once, and never called again!
