Yep, the same question is being asked at several sites around the old tractor and machinery forums.

It appears he has given up "the lifestyle" and decided to run silent for a while. Maybe he decided Xena needed a more normal social life with something more than her own Caterpillar for companionship.
That's just speculation but I suspect we'll hear more from him someday.

Here's a u-tube video from march of the "Lynn tractor"
Another of "The famous Hood" in action.
So it appears he's alive and kickin.

I have his contact info. I got it from the town of Lynn Lake.
I sent him an e mail, I'm waiting for a reply.
If anyone wants the info send me a PM or e mail.

Well, my guess is that the real job has got him really busy.

Plus his father passed away last year, could be busy with dealing with his father's estate.

His mother, I think is still alive, and that might be a factor with regards to his silence and whereabouts.

Lot of unknown to us factors.

But I really doubt that he has moved very far South. That is, as far South as Texas anyway.

I had wondered about KOO, visited his site a couple of months ago and noted it was not as up to date as usual I truly enjoyed reading about his projects, trips, and dealing with weather that makes easy tasks next to impossible. Hope everything is OK for his sake, and I'm sure he'll chime in somewhere with an update sooner or later.

It is odd how the internet allows us to keep regular tabs on people, some of whom we never meet, and one can get very used to the routine. Then they go offline for reasons unkown and it's a strange feeling when you're left wondering what happened.

Oh well, here's to KOO and many of his future projects and stories!

Being a relative newb, this thread is how I found the King's website. Over the last week I believe I have read everything on his site. The old iron still gets its done. My Grandpa had a TD-9 with a loader (Drott skid shovel it was called). I watched him teeter off a hill and go over the front. It ran directly over him but he was between the tracks. Just a couple of scratches. I couldn't believe it.

It was real neat to watch it switch over from gas to diesel. That was early 80's . I may have been 12 at the time. Memory lane.
