Well, I had a very good time at the great southern mini. The recording secretary confirms not a single lie was noted. (One of the restaurant staff was a former sparky, he made a couple statements about serving in the western pacific. All were accepted without objection...)

In the time honored tradition, most verbal history lessons began : "And this is no shit..." or "on my last ship"... BZ/BT.

I'm starting the logistics rollout for the next one in Ill.

Everything shared was 100% the gospel truth
I hope nobody would think Retired Chief's would embellish a story.
After being retired over thirty years a lot of things are still fresh in my memory.
I'm sure glad I don't have to deal with the new Navy. I don't think that I could handle it.
I really enjoyed the evening.

I knew I'd never live this down! I should have lied from the get go. At least the caliber started with a 4.

You freely admitted to it, that was your first mistake,
it was concealed and nobody asked...

Truth be told. I had my Glock 36. But then my name doesn't start with 1911
Carrying a Glock is like being married to a rich ugly woman that is a great cook.

For my nickel, 1911 man is senior enough to carry any damn thing he want's.(ROFLMAO)

I'm neither a fan boy or a Glock hater, I make a fair buck fixing them, though. (Never have been able to shoot Glock's well, and the overall accuracy, for me, leaves something to be desired)

As far as carry caliber, I have to admit to .54, at the mini. ( A Kel-Tec P-32, 32 ACP and a NAA .22 mag mini revolver) That, in addition to a Boker automatic, is my daily load out. For planned trips more than 50 miles from home, a .44 replaces the .32 and the FN-FAL rides in the trunk.

Paranoid? NAW, Preparinoid...
