So for my last post I failed the inspection because I didn't have the steel building bonded to the ground and there wasn't a light above the man-door.
Yesterday I had my second final inspection and passed. I didn't want a light above the man-door, so I will be putting 7watt bulbs in there. I'm not gonna take it out as I have a hole there now. At the time I used what was on hand but I've come across these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3QWH94N...s_B0CQX3GNM4_0

and I like that style of fixture, might swap to them(I'd only use one at a time).

Now I have my release, I am finished with inspections!

Mernards has a very similar light that is also a motion sensor. Could have it so it only turns on whens someone walks up to it if you don't want light there all the time.

My shop will have 3 sides with gravel, one side with grass. We plan on catching the rain water from the front in IBCs. Once those are full, I want to be able to let the rest of the water drain away from the building. This past weekend I rented a trencher to run 4" plastic corrugated for that purpose. While I had the trencher rented, I did the opposite side of the yard to remove standing water. Our yard gets REALLY soft when it rains a lot. So today I put the drain tube in by the polebarn, just shy of 250ft. I will pack some gravel in with the tube so water can flow easily. Not looking forward to doing the other side, I'm guessing it'll be a tad under 500ft. $220 for the rental and 425 for the drain tube. I'm sure the gravel wont be cheap either.

Fun fun.

Wrap it in landscape fabric . It will slow down the mudding of the drain up .

Thats what I've done for the 250ft by the pole barn. I don't know if I'm going to do it on the far side. In doing some research, they said the flow of water keeps the line clear unless you have sandy soil, I do not. I have mostly clay.

I've been using this stuff. You can also get the roll pipe pre wrapped from the factory but its not always in stock. I've got very sandy soil and have to use something to keep it from silting up.

Hats more expensive than the stuff I'm using!. I've got it planned out and will stick with the plan. I appreciate the input everyone. I'll try to get pics this evening.

Also, I've been looking into anchoring the pallet rack to the floor but there isn't much room to drill and anchor with the rack in place. What have yall done? I'm thinking I may just make a bolt down bracket and bolt it to the uprights.

Used to use corrugated pipe, and then made the switch to smooth pvc drain pipes instead. No flexing/spring to deal with, cleaner look where it’s above ground, no ribs for water, dirt etc to build up.

Each application is it’s own deal though, what works in one spot doesn’t always work everywhere.
