I've seen a couple different devices for doing elliptical grooves. There were times when I could have used them but never needed anything like that enough to get around to building something...

Don't have much call to make oil groves, but splines and power broaching a key way ring my chimes. I can see a use for this.

I am not a machinist but i do appreciate those of you that are.
This is an interesting video and i think the guy that made it is quite clever. Thanks for posting. |
