Since the transmission blew on my old truck and I needed to get my camper home I slapped this together this morning. After rooting around the resource piles I came up with this. It was a receiver hitch from a 01 Ford pickup now it's a 3 point receiver hitch. All the metal was laying around and there isn't a single pretty thing about but it hauled a 33 foot camper 20 miles. The hitch is a little low for gooseneck hitch so at some point I may add another receiver tube a bit higher. On the way home I kinda wished for another 500 pounds on the front of the tractor but it wasn't too squirrelly.

I built something similar (but prettier) for the neighbors for hauling the stock trailer when transporting cows when the field is too muddy for a truck.

Main thing is you got it home.

So did you have a longer time driving 20 miles, vs making the hitch?

It worked, and now you have another way to move the camper around your yard. Nice job.

Well now that you mention it, times were about equal. I usually move things around the yard with the loader on the other tractor. I really didn't think going down the highway in reverse was a good idea.
