i have never personally used one but when looking to buy plasmas i talked to a local salesman and he classed the Miller machines with the Hypertherm line. he said if anything Miller had quicker service time but he thought they both performed the same. (this is coming from a salesman though....take it for what it's worth LOL)

So is there a brand that is the Cadillac (maybe Lexus now) of plasma cutters? I'm casually looking at plasma cutters but don't really have a serious need for one yet.

I have a Miller 300 and have had good luck with mine. I also agree with Shade Tree Welder on the limits of it. Very good machine within it's limits.
