IMO, put a access panel in that area, so that way in 10 years from now, you need to get back into that plumbing, you can do it. Earlier this year, I was called to a friends house to fix his shower leaking in the wall. He bought a new valve, and shower head and thought he would change it himself. But the valve unscrewed itself in the wall, and I had to cut into the drywall behind it to gain access to the valve. Maybe I’m crazy, but plumbing fixtures should have access to them. Yep, I have access doors to all of my plumbing connections that are in any wall space in my home.
