Default Shlurp's BIG Brother

Since nice people just keep insisting on giving me these free propane tanks, and since I'm really tired of 5 gallon cans with Joey'd up collapsable plastic necks and trying to pour gear oil or hydraulic oil into various reservoirs I came up with this new toy.
Naturally, in keeping with my cheap nature, everything other than the paint is recycled material.
I employ a vacuum pump to fill the tanks, and about 5# of air pressure to deliver oil from the tank to the reservoir or gearbox being filled.
The bottom tank is 90 weight gear oil, and the top tank is #10 hydraulic oil.

Unfortunately, the picture, witch would be perfectly acceptable to open in a work environment won't fit, so, I'll send it to Cutter for a trim.

Franz;

If there a seperate air valve installed to pressurize or use your vacuum pump on the tank? What kind of hand valve do you used to control / shut off the oil when you have it pressurized for filling?

I just can't pick out anything in the photo.

I just use a small regulator that I normally use for my supplied air mask I use for painting.
The oil flow stops pretty quick when I dump the air from the tank, so I haven't employed dispensing valves, probably because I don't have any that would fit. Eventually, dispensing valves may be located in somebody's surplus pile and purloined for this device.

John, I'm workin on a much better idea, Ice fishin shed woodstove. All I gotta do is figure how I'm gonna mount the door, and put some ASTRIGALS (beat Morpheus to it) around the door. Then, I gotta figure out do I want to offset the smoke pipe so the valve protector ring can be used to set a coffy pot on.
Then, I gotta hunt up some damn fool to test out the heater sittin in the middle of a frozen pond. Say, John, did you ever goice fishin over by Lewiston?
