Default Lowes clearance led lights

Went into Lowes tonight for some husquvara chain saw oil and noticed that they have a lot of led bulbs on clearance. Picked up couple boxes of T8 4’ bulbs 16ct package for $39.99. 6500 k . These use existing ballasts, so plug and play for the fixtures I just saved from a building just tore down couple days ago. At $2.50 a bulb, didn’t think it was two bad.

Even the most expensive fluorescent's I've tried always end up flickering or giving off a dull red/amber glow on the ends.

Maybe I should give these new fangled glow in the dark thingies a go.

Thanks for posting. Of course it won't be till this Sat before I can hit Lowes.

You finally got some LED bulbs? Refer to this THREAD...

I think I paid 3.79ea about 4 months ago--you got a good deal! I'll have to check inventory online again but I'm pretty sure I've bought out the local inventory...

I’m thinking that they are clearance the old stock for either new brand, or newer more efficient bulbs, but these should last me for a while.

What I heard here locally, is that not so Lowes is going out of the light bulb business. Too much regulation, both govt and coporate. Not enough profit

They seem to be following the "Generous Motors" corporate model.

Just tellin' what I was told.
