I seem to remember Oil well salvage outfits using cables and dozers to cut off damaged wellheads. Prior to capping things off and cleaning shit up.

I wonder if the chain is coated or made of something more abrasive than a basic type chain?
and wow all those cars some just might be salvageable for parts or refurbs to the right company but I'm sure that can't happen due to insurance payouts on the whole ordeal... It is a unique salvage process kind of cool though... and the first I've ever seen such a cutting method |

I have been to a granite quarry. They cut the blocks loose with a cable and water.
Three blocks was a load for fhe flat deck that took the blocks to Vancouver for shipping to Italy. The drive was a 70 Hp electric motor . After about 5 minuite of cutting the Slurry from the cutting added its abrasiive effect and you could see the cut happen the finish face was almost a mirror finish. Later working underground and seeing the speed that holes are drilled into rock for blasting you realize that in a battle of rock VS $$$ rock loses but you need gobs of money.
