How many hours? I bought one just like that and in pretty much same looking condition with, I think, around 540 hours for $1300.00 back around '96 or '97. I bought it from a friend, used it until '03 and sold it for $1800.00.

Nice find!

Mine has 1000 hours but runs as if it were new.

Sounds like it's all covered, enjoy that machine, I'm sure you'll get many years of service from it.

Replaced the stinger today from one I picked up at auction. The old one had all the protective plastic parts broken off. The ground clamp will probably be replaced with a C clamp. I will be using the welder to build my new shop press in a week or so.

And you can buy a suitcase wire feeder and REALLY have some fun. When I bought my Super S32P feeder, I knew nothing about mig other than I needed a voltage sensing feeder if used with my Bobcat. Best move I ever did. I can't see myself buying anything other than a suitcase because of portability. I can carry it into a dump trailer and weld away.

Be warned...225G's do not have much of a voltage range. They handle bigger stuff, but small wire can be tough. I ran mine on CC and got it lower like that. She ran .045 dual shield like there was no tomorrow.

I finally got the idle control adjustment set just right today. Had to bend the throttle rod a little to get it to go all the way down to idle. Works real well now. Next a new deck for the trailer.

Default Good Find!

Sounds great, Milo!

How many KW will the generator supply? Is there a 220V output? a 12VDC?

DrBob
It has a 8KW generator. It does have one 220V and four 110V outlets.
