The only drive thru's I know of in cork would look decidedly familiar to ye.

They've big yellow M shaped signs out front.

I envy you guys that can handle those chili dogs. I guess you would have enough gas to power a portable welder.

Thanks Digger, I'll now probably have to drive 80 miles (round trip) to the A&W drive-in in Cortland, NY. I'm now feeling severe chili dog withdrawals.

Your more than welcome....anything I can doo to help.

Don't forget the onion rings....those were Hardee's "beer batter" ones.

Better yet, get an even dozen to take home.

You had said drive thru...that's like at Mcdonalds, or the car wash.

Drive-in is where you all park next to each other, and get "curb service".
Waitress comes to you, brings order, clamps tray to window on door.

First pix I posted is of the drive up area for the Canfield, Ohio
one.

Jerry's curb service in, Bridgewater, Pa (sorry no website)
still has girls on rollerskates

That type of fast food joint has been as extinct as the Dodo bird for probably 30 years, or more, around here.
I actually used to work at a joint like that for a while when I was in high school..............brought back some memories, that did

John Boy,
I dug up some 6013 electrodes (well! I found them when cleaning up) and can do a bit of photo thing on 1/4" plate vertical up if you wanted to see how they can look. They are only 2.6mm diameter but you will get the idea.

The vertical weld 6013 is pretty simple and looks presentable, so if you need a bit of a hand, I'm quite happy to assist .
