Tin was ordered this morning after doing a bit of figuring, measuring and price checking. It should be in next Thursday or Friday.

So if the wind holds off maybe I'll be under roof next weekend!

I had to buy a damn ladder so I could get to the roof by myself......


Worst part of all of this is two years ago I helped a neighbor a good deal when he put up his 40x60 and the plan was all along he'd help me with mine when it came time. Well the jackleg (that's funny, you'll see why) fell out of a tree stand while taking it down in February and broke both legs. He's hoping to get on crutches in a week or two so I don't think I'll have to worry about him helping out on the tin..........

If you want I could come camp out Friday and Saturday night on all that land you must have and give a hand. If you could wait that long. As summing you are talking next weekend and not today.

Why hell yes! I did remember that it is going to be Mother's Day that weekend so there won't be anything going on Sunday.

"All that land" I've got some elbow room but no crop ground. Just a bunch of hills and hollers no one else wanted.

Well I have been welding in braces like crazy (still no done but good enough) and I rolled out to my favorite Amish metal roofing store this afternoon and picked up my roof tin. This roofing supplier is on a two lane blacktop with horse and buggy traffic. I can remember when ALL their forklifts had steel wheels. I guess the bishop gets a little more lax when the tithe gets good enough.

The interior pics I took from right to left standing in one spot. That place is huge! The exterior pics are a buggy coming up the road and a rubber tired forklift. Blasphemy!

Well we had a full day of it. David (welder2005) and my friend Don came out today and we had a damn good time of it. Each and every one of us has a sunburn from the shiny tin in special spots, like inside the nostrils for example.

We had to finish some welding first thing this morning before starting on the tin and I immediately put David to work welding. With a name like welder 2005 he's got to be good right?

We got half the building covered and the tin is running spot on and I am one happy, but pooped camper.
