These are some tools my father got from a friend.............I know they r for working w/ tin...........Could someone tell me what they do???????????????

And maybe tell what u would use for?????? (what u was making?????)

The first, third and fourth pics are for rolling, beading, forming and tipping of the sheets edges for seaming etc. on ducts and other fabrications on light gage tin.

The one in the second pic would be for shrinking the end of ducting etc.

Clean em up and hold on to em.

Lw is correct. Either clean them up and send to me or LW .We will store them and use occastionally to keep them free.Do they say Pexo on them anywhere.

They look much too old and rusty to mess with. Put them in a box next to your mailbox with "free" written on it.

As a former tin-knocker I can verify that LW has the decriptions pretty much down

if you give us better pics of the rollers on 1,3,4 I can probably tell you better what you could use them for.

#1 looks like a bead roller
#2 is a pipe shrinker
#3 ia a 90* flange
#4 I cant see that well but it looks like a step for joints

After you give them a bath in diesel and get everything freed up, polish the wheels so there is no crud on them. These would probably be good for up to about 20ga or so, depending on how hard you want to push them. Then just make yourself a bench bracket to mount the roller to.
Insert your sheet into the roller. Adjust the wheels so it barely touches and do a guide run. Crank the adjuster more and more until the desired shape is produced.

I too was wondering what brand they were. My bet though is not Pexto. Styling looks different, although they do look to be 30+years older than what I used. I love the swoops on the handles!

diesel fuel is not a good soaking oil anymore, it doesnt have the anti rust qualities it used to, thats why truck and bulk fuel tanks have been having corrosion issues like never before, when they started making ultra low sulfur fuel is when the changes happened. home heating oil still works ok, but not diesel fuel anymore.

thats a shame about the diesel. While probably not too much more than diesel you should still be able to use ATF as a penetrant.

Might be a good time to tinker around with a electrolysis bath
