![]() Get a block of wood and a hammer and straighten the shaft. May consider replacing the front bearing after. The next guy that gets a rag stuck in-between the table and disk will bend the shaft again.

Thank you Gwhiz and Digr! I took your suggestions and took a hammer to it first today. I mounted the disc first though and then clamped a piece of 1/2x 4 CR Flat plate to face of disc to beat on though. Wanted to use the leverage of the plate to help bend the motor shaft.
Before I started, I had .076” runout. I got it to within .014” and called it good. But, then I realized that I had the plate cut untrue, one side was .040” thicker than other side and the heavy side rotated to the bottom quickly. I then remounted the disc in the lathe in the four jaw chuck on the outside face, and taking care to indicate it in as close as I could, I took a trueing cut on the back side of the plate. With the jaws holding the outside, I had very little chatter/ vibration and was able to get plate tried up in about 30 minutes this time. Put everything back together, and reset the table square to the disc and put old sanding disc back on, and called it a win. No more hand massage with the vibration now when using. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using ShopFloorTalk
