How high is the wind load ?
Not sure on the lean -to issue. After looking at the Larimer Cty. site and Estes Park (I couldn't find shit on the county site) It looks like 70#/sf for snow load. The wind load is pretty crazy basically like Cat 5 hurricane 175 Mph for 3 seconds

Sounds as though the lean=to issue has something do do with the wind load requirement

I would think it is not the wind but rather the transplants that are offended to have to look at one.

I can show up ready to work by the crack of noon. My specialties include standing on your cord, cutting something twice and it’s still too short and being able to clearly see both the little AND big tick marks on a tape measure.

I'm in. Where we going?

I have all the aforementioned skills, plus several nautical related ones, including a "colorful" vocabulary. Plus the ability to always be "in the way".(most noteably, parking my truck in such a way that it blocks access for the rest of the crew, all day)

I have exceptional talent as a barback, and nearly 10 years experience as "leading asshole" at the A/typical racing garage and adult daycare center.

I'm in.

Same thought here.
A lean to actually would reduce the pressure a bit, as the side of the building
is not one giant wall perpendicular to the ground, rather a step (or two).

Personally, I like a lean to, when the 2 roofs don't touch (stepped) has a
older look.

Maybe the problems are from an "open" lean-to.

Yea, I really wanted a lean-to on one side to keep crap out of the shop. Because once it's built SWMBO is going to want everything around here out of sight and out of mind if you know what I mean

Talked to a local architect designer today. We sold the DOT's Tracker to him awhile back. He's a real nice laid back guy SWMBO brought up his name out of the blue. So, I called him early this evening and set up an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully we can come up with some kind of plan I can afford. Fingers crossed cause I'm not building something that I'll be paying off till I'm F--n 80

If you got the concrete done and bought a kit I expect we could get a small crew there to do a barn raising next spring.
