Okay, I need popcorn too.

I totally missed the first thread on this copper weld issue. After reading that thread, I guess I jumped to a faulty conclusion with DD's post.....sorry 'bout that.

Thanks for all the advise, and will go with Harris Stay Silver15, and yes new project 3/4 copper coupled to 7/8 copper tubing, and not to interesting

Just to drag a smelly dead fish across the trail.....
Yesterday after some prick zip disk'd the cat converter and O2 sensors off a pickup truck, they also nicked the trans cooler line. In one spot it was cut deep enough to leak.
I managed to crawl under it and after the line was disconnected and blown with air, I cooked it with a propane torch til the oil was burnt out.

Then I used this rod and the bernzo torch to silver solder the damaged line. It holds pressure and the guy is happy.

Just by standard flux coated brazing rods, attach a jumper cable to one end,
the other cable as a ground to the pipe.
try a 12v car battery.
