Get TIG pedals at SSC controls. LINK The chart will list what else is compatible...
Sounds like a fair deal. You can always bring a stinger and see if it will stick weld.

Before your give him some money, make sure its a single phase machine.
that is in less you have three phase. Also check the voltage required.

Did it come leads and torch, just not the foot pedal? Was it single phase? For 275 looks you got pretty good deal there.

Yes it's single phase. Just the power supply, nothing else. Long story short, the guy told me that it had issues and I'm willing to gamble once in a while.
Said it was his father's who passed and when he hooked it up, it will strike an arc but not maintain an arc. He only tried with stick welding not tig, so I am going to source a cheap foot pedal and try that too. This is too busy of a season, it's sat on the trailer till today. I will be dragging it in the garage and testing it out shortly. Keep your fingers crossed for me. |
