Suitcase Feeder

I feel like I need a suitcase feeder for wire welding. I just need help figuring out which one fits my needs.

Main uses:

run off of Bobcat 250 (Trailblazer in the future)
possibly run in shop off of MM251? (don't even know if that's possible)

in field fluxcore welding
in shop dual shield hard facing
stainless/mild steel welding in tight locations (trucks, tanks, etc)

Bobcat's need a VS (voltage sensing feeder) TB can run either a RC or VS
feeder. I have a 12 RC and like it very much, I have run all types of steel
wire through with and with out gas. Very good feeder.

I do not thick that is possible or what benefit you would get from it.
But call Miller Light industrial group and they will give you a quick answer.

My C-300 power-wave had gun on demand circuit that needed a 5 K pot to turn on the spool-gun Juice. Kind of Gun on demand but different. Anyway, I used it for turning the contactor on to run a LN-25 pro off of the unit.. Gives extended reach for your feeder, you can load different wire then in your machine. I got my info from the Powerwave group at Lincoln, and Just had Dea build me a box. Sold that unit, but my friend runs his LN-25 off of it now. Super handy because he has a 50 ft push-pull on the machine and was running some 5-64 hard facing off of the LN-25 just last week. The LN-25 pro has a regulator built in, so nice on long run dual-shield welding. His is the Dual-power LN-25 pro, which is super cool really.. also a standard LN works well for him too.. The box even works as a contactor for his Powermig 300 for his suitcase. Although that machine has a spool-gun switch, and you can just jump the contactor to turn the power on. I had it hooked up to many units, and the VS feeder will even do low voltage mig welding. Surprising just how good it is. Even will run off my 170 amp scout engine drive in CC .035 self-shielded.

Basically it would be a big spool gun. Simply to run it in the shop without the noise and ruckus of the engine drive in doors, and to make easier to switch between applications. Changing spool, drive rolls, liner, and tips just to do some hard facing gets old at times.

So it sounds like an xtreme 12 vs would be what I need.

Why would you want to run a suitcase feeder off you MM251?
What I meant was just run the wire you want in your MM 251?

Changing wire is really easy...

Spool, rolls, sometimes liner, tip, just to run hard facing on something usually means it doesn't get faced when it's in the shop.

When I was running my business I always had different guns set up with
different sized liners just for that because changing a gun was a lot faster
than a liner. Also I did most of my welding in the evening and on weekends
so having extra guns and liners saved my ass a few times.

I'm a huge fan of the Extreme 12vs...I run it off of the Bobcat 250NS and when I do grain leg work I run it off of my XMT304 in order to be able to communicate with people on the ground without the constant drone of the portable running.

I've run a Lincoln LN-25 off just about any DC power source, solid, dependable and extremely durable.
