7-7/8 here, the old style headgear from Speedglas goes plenty big enough. I bought some extra headgears and modify it to fit all of the types of helmets I use.

So are heads just getting bigger as we evolve, or is this crew just a bunch of freaks?

I always thought this was a small problem, my head gear barely fits, but if I try to wear a welders cap under it, it fits more like a yarmulke. Perhaps a manuf will read this board and not discriminate against those with large heads

Could it be that most of that line is off shore sourced and a china head is smaller than ours? When I had long hair a ball cap was the 4th hole now that it is a buzz cut they are hole number 3???

It isn't just headbands. Have any of y'all with big hands tried buying gloves in the last couple of years?

Well my fat head fits nicely into my still almost new helmet.

My size is a 7 3/8 considered in the large sizes and the headgear on this unit goes to 8 1/8 at least by my measurement.

I really like this helmet except for it does not have a setting for longer duration which does not work well when I used the spot feature on the aluminum spoolgun. Had to use the $50 cheapy auto dark.
