460V 3PH is not the voltage used by general shop equipment.

Drills, lights, beer cooler, grinders, hot plates, air compressors, radios, lathes, computers, test equipment, TV's or any thing else that uses 110V 1PH or 220V 1PH.

Only way that a 46oV 3PH can be used is with a dry transformer to reduce the voltage and phase to usable voltage and single phase for the general shop equiment.

Well I talked to my dad and let him know about the suggestions and showed them to him after I did some research on all of them. We turns out that he wants it mainly for power (generator) reasons but would would also like a smooth welder. But would also like something that will work for running grinders, wire wheels etc. Alright well thanks for your help so far everyone
