Welcome to SFT
Second , I have never personally used shark bite connectors , so I have no real world experience to draw on .
Sweating pipe can be done with a propane torch and a minor investment in tools . The tools being a Imp (close quarters) cutter , a cutter that goes to 1-1/8" , a roll of plumbers cloth ( sand paper ) and a few fittings to practice with .
I prefer sweating copper because I am a plumber/pipefitter in building trades .
