Should I look into LED lighting or run with the used high Bay fixtures I got at $1 each? They take f54T5Ho bulbs. 6 per fixture.

The t5s can usually be put in 1 bulb at a time to run a fixture. What is the price difference?

Tim,Figure your draw on currant .If payback is to high of time frame ,phase in the led as the others die .Cost of ones you have times expected time running to get Kilowatts .Led cost plus electrical usage . I am betting best net dollars is what you have . Always figure life cycle cost of ownership .

I think wire size and cost has to come into this somewhere too.
I bought portable shop lights on sale at Costco and i used cheap extension cords from Horrible freight to connect them,just plugged them all in.
The lights came with a bracket so you can screw then to the wall or whatever.

If they are permanently wired In Canada the code requires minimum # 14 wire for all external runs. Wiring supplied inside the fixtures is covered under a CSA sticker or equivalent. I believe that the NEC has similar requirements.l

We started building our new warehouse at work too. Also a self build. There's a bit of teasing and shit talking going on. . The warehouse is sitting on almost sixteen feet of fill at one end.

I tried to pack the dirt with the D8 but the grousers just chew everything up. I guess the opposite extreme of a mini ex.

If the dirt is not too thick, and you never turn the cat on the compaction site, I have seen a D8 pack ground so tight that the grousers would not sink in more than a 1/2 inch. A certain level of moisture is needed to lubricate soil grains when packing.

If you are trackpacking, i imagine you know already....but use only 6-12 inches of dirt at a time to be effective and keep adding layers.
If it were me and the 16 ft of fill had not been compaction tested by an engineer as it was built up, I would not put a lunchroom at that end of the building. It should set for a year.

Fingers crossed this weekend I'll do a air test of my drain lines prior to reinspection. After that passes it's onto concrete finally.
