Them little bitty boat trailer tires look kinda out of their league, don't they?

That welder looks like it may be about the same age (early 60's) as the semi-retired one I had at work. The area superintendent had it brought to our shop, rather than letting it go to auction when the pipeline weldor using it got a new one.It had sentimental value for him;he used it when he was a pipeline weldor in the 70's and 80's.
They are good machines, but the electrical outlet on them is pulsating DC,which will fry any variable speed drills etc. that are plugged in to it.Never did like that the controls were on one end, and the on/off switch and plug was on the other end--always walking from one side of the trailer to the other every time you wanted to shut it off,or start it, or plug in more than two tools.
I didn't care for the oil bath air cleaner either;since the side covers had vanished shortly after it was new (miserable to open them on the welding trucks without pulling the hinge pins), water was always getting into the bottom of the filter, and the oil had to be changed out constantly.
Since I retired, it just sits -the guys doing my job now don't know how to weld, and don't know much about a machine that is a decade older than they are.
