Default CNC Plasma Cut Vintage Motorcycles

I cut the following bikes from 11 gauge (1/8") steel with my home made CNC plasma table. I put as much detail into the 19" long figures as possible, keeping at least .150" between interior parts and lines.

BSA Gold Star, Vincent Black Shadow, Matchless 500 single, Ariel Square four, Triumph Bonneville TT Special, Norton Commando, Indian Chief (USA), and early Triumph Thunderbird.

The two larger pictures are the Vincent and the Triumph Thunderbird.

I am not selling these. This is just for fun.

Just do these for fun, and don't mind the work involved. The cost of getting a "one-off" done commercially would probably prohibitively high. I suggest you find something as close as possible by Googling "cnc plasma cut truck wall art."

Neat stuff! As pretty as the bike silhouettes are, I am more interested in hearing about the homemade plasma table....

I thought they looked familiar, then I saw the Plasmaspider post was bumped today and realized who you were.
Nice job on the bikes!

You should show your table, I'm sure members here would be interested in that too!

I've used a number of different size CNC plasma tables over the years, and found that my current 2' x 2' x&y travel table satisfies almost all my needs as a hobbyist.

The main advantage of the small table is the ability to use it outside. This makes the plasma dust issue go away.

The first picture below is my current machine. It sits just outside my basement door, with the compressor, plasma cutter, & computer just inside. It takes 5 minutes to run the cables out the door and connect them. The motors stay on the table. I keep a fire pit cover on it for weather protection.

Third picture was a previous table I mounted on casters so I could roll it out my garage door to use.
