Thanks Rod. Typos are really hard to eliminate. Since date is a word, spell check does not pick it up.

I don't have a power hammer yet, I have the plans and some parts collected for a tire hammer, but haven't got a good start on it yet.

Using the preview button can be a big help because it shows what you've typed in a different type face.
But you still have to slow down & actually read it.

As is my preference, forge faces with big smiles and open side area expanse for extra fuel and tool placements out of the fire are my weakness.

The only nick I could add as a future problem will be the open winding motor driven blower on yours. But, I well understand using what is at hand as an aid for completions and thrift savings.(of which I'm a firm believer in)

The environment of immediate surroundings offered by a forge or more or at least equal in the area of sand blasting media.

I am always on the lookout for timed out propane tanks of 200 gal and above sizes and always find a need for one of these tanks end caps.

My last build started with an end cap of a 300 gallon tank and started life from there. It's huge, but right at the point to where I might have to add a steering set of wheels in lieu of picking up one end as my days turn to twilights.

Really well done on your build. Efficient is a key for a forge you can actually use and you hit your nail square on the head.

Can't wait to fire it up!
I tend to make the first fire in a new forge and cook a few dogs on a spit, using wood of course. lol

Will you be giving any future thought to making a hood enclosure? It does make things that much more unhandy in storage, but leaps as far as atmosphere for the user.

First off, thanks for the idea on the hot dogs...I think I will make that my new tradition! (not that I plan on building alot of forges... but I love hot dogs and will use any excuse to eat them)

Secondly... Not sure about the hood. I forge outside and never really thought hoods were needed for outside forges. I never really thought I had a lot of smoke when using my old forge, but I don't know... I've never used a forge with a hood so maybe I'm missing a way better experience... Are even outdoor forges way better with a hood?
