Welcome aboard CKent.
Perhaps aluminum flashing might work for you, it can come in many widths and thicknesses. See here http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&key...l_68ujs8adk7_e

My Al supplier goes down to about .032" in a 4x8 sheet. LINK
I'm thinking the thickness you seek is used in the fins of A/C products both automotive and home. But the largest I've seen it in is 6" wide rolls, usually more like 2" wide. Find an A/C products manufacturer and see where they get their rolls of stock from...IF any still exist in this country... UPDATE: looks like Mack has a plan! You might even find rolls in Home Delowes

Search through McMaster-Carr. I buy a lot of aluminum from them every month.

Thank You Gentlemen
I have made my purchase - thank you for your input. I chased each of the leads you offered and a few more that I came up with. In the end I decided to go with a 25 gauge (0.016") roof flashing product ... which will be 60% stiffer / stronger than the 30 gauge (0.010") aluminum that I was working with for my prototype. So ... I'm hoping it works ... I'll find out soon. If not ... anyone need about 50' of roof flashing ... ha!
Thanks much - |
