you left out the details. note the center smaller blade position, outer blade is spring loaded so it keeps rotational tension in the screw slot.

My dad had a couple snap on ones. One was a Phillip head too. Think I still have them, plus a couple more I picked up over the years.
I also have a different style that has two angle tips that as you push a tube out the shaft slide the ends together that makes the tip wider and grips the slot that way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have one as well in my tool chest. Havent seen it in awhile since I havent had a need for it in a good while.

Got a couple myself, though I can't say that I've ever used them. They've been in the top-middle box of his old Mac chest as long as I can remember.
Things in that drawer were always his most precious and obscure. It also has packages of replacement glass cutting wheels and divider scribe tips. There are lots of other small oddities in there. I was always encouraged to use whatever tools were available but anything in there was off-limits unless I was specifically instructed to find the item.

I had a similar one with a plastic handle I carried in my electricians pouch for holing the screws to start when putting on the receptical covers. Those little oval head screws are a bugger to hold. :-) But like the rest of those tools and the pouch it went, when some jerk broke the door window of my car and made off with it a few years ago. :-(
