Been studiously avoiding replacing the gasket on the wood stove door (It's been missing about a 3" section where the ends meet ) wood hit $300 /cord this year for poplar we aren't even talking hardwood. So, it was time Those Norwegians at Jotul ought to be damn proud of the job they did they flat glued the fuck out of it the gasket comes right off the glue not so much. I bought a gasket rope several years back. The "Mutant Mountain Mice" chewed it into 4 pieces in a closed toolbox drawer and built a nest WTF ????? I thought mice would not mess with Fiberglass. Still trying to figure out how the little bastards even got in the drawer. So, Mama picked up a new kit from Ace the install is curing a little and a fire is forth coming at which point the gasket cement is going to cure quick.
