Default Mower 5th Wheel

Height differential between sidewalk and dirt, which has grown, considerably, in 40 years made mowing awkward. So, I added a 5th wheel to the mower to allow for leveling of mower deck, as I zip along.

That’s thinking outside the deck.

Never worried or had to worry about that particular issue with mowing... but I live in the country and well just don't matter I haven't a nice lawn to need to keep nice... just scrubs and weeds for the most part very little actual grass.

But will say that is ingenious thinking outside the box there. and looks like it does the intended job. so I'd say its a thumbs up addition.

Ya know now some bot will be seeing this and like magic somehow it will be an extra add-on that pops up somewhere on some brand of lawn mower being sold or as an add-on kit for mowers now.

Now that's a gadget...

Kinda reminds of that Japanese kid in "The Goonies".

I like that.
I need something like that on a much bigger scale, something that will hold up my diesel rider mower when i mow along the curb.
What i really want is a weed whacker mounted on each side of the mower deck ,belt driven,so i can weed whack as i mow.

Great idea, well executed. Around here, the lawn guys just run a hand held, single vertical bade, edger. they trim back about 2 " and run the wide ZTR mower tire on the sidewalk.

I have about 250 feet of concrete/asphalt interface, right now, I just use the string trimmer, throwing the cut off back on the lawn prior to mowing.

I need to find a way to hold my propane string trimmer on a pivot mount, on the front of my rider, that can be steered with one hand. It's got to the point that it takes 2 days (couple of hours at a time) to get all the edging and trimming done, and a half day to mow. (have I mentioned how much getting old SUCKS, yard work usta be a 2 hour, 3 beer, sprint )
